Bird Ladies Notebooks

Here at Kawaii Stationery, we love bright colourful characters who are all the more endearing due to their simplicity. But we also appreciate the detail and something that’s a bit different. We like things that make you look at them a little longer, things that make you think. We were instantly drawn to the artwork and subdued hues on these notebooks. We know the pictures won’t appeal to everyone, there’s no denying the fact she’s got a birdcage on her head…but we like them. We are big Anime fans and no doubt that’s part of the attraction for us. The designs give more than a passing nod to the kind of amazing artistry you find in many animated classics. These high-quality notebooks are ideal for sketching as they have unlined tan coloured pages. The paper is stitched to the spine and the slightly thicker cover has a matt effect finish. They are 17cm by 9cm and on all but the Green Bird notebook, are the words, “The Beauty Mind Forever”.

Mini Smiley Diary

These Mini Smiley Diaries will always bring a smile to your face, on your best days and your worst! Not a diary in the traditional sense, the pages are not dated in any way. At 8cm x 13cm, they’re a nice compact size generously filled with alternating sections of blank coloured paper and white lined paper. In the corner of the pages and imprinted on the spine are the words, “If you laugh, tomorrow will be fun”. On the front of the soft plastic cover are a happy smiling face and the message, “Show your smile”. It is the simple design of these notebooks that makes them so sweet. Hence the name. Their solid colours accentuate the minimal detail, making each notebook effective in its own way. It should be celebrated!” Ignore the spelling mistake and just appreciate the sentiment. At 13cm by 9cm and filled with lined paper, these pocket-sized notebooks are compact and easy enough to incorporate into your daily necessities.

These cute little notebooks are so sweet. On the front cover, we can see our friend Rilakkuma and judging by the Eiffel tower, he has been on his travels again. He’s quite the jet-setter. Written underneath the tower is the reassuring message, “Everything is going to be alright”. It reiterates all that Rilakkuma stands for, a relaxed and stress-free life. Filled with lined paper and only 12.5cm by 9cm, these mini notebooks are small and slim enough to slip into any bag or even between the pages of another book. These sweet little notebooks are a bright and cheerful way to keep track of any mind slipping moments. Their compact design is very popular, being easy to carry in the slimmest of pockets or between the pages of a larger book. Measuring approximately 12.5cm by 9cm and filled with lined paper they are a daily essential. The four designs feature different characters and text. The penguin has the words, “Sweet, she is a happy spirit comes from the see.” (we don’t mind the odd spelling hiccup) The Chick (Lucky) and the Rabbit (Holle, there’s a chance that should read Hello) both say, “Just my sweet friend.” And, “wite Uranaikko” (answers on a postcard, please). Finally, the Bear says, “Life” and (wait for it..) “I love you, not because of who you are, but the feeling when we are together, so I’m willing to sacrifice everything for you”. Steady on, Teddy. Maybe it’s time to add a Sweet Friend to your list of acquaintances?

Happy Girls Notebooks

These bright notebooks are decorated with the cutest little Japanese girls we’ve ever seen. Each one is clad in a kimono with their hair worn in a traditional style complete with accessories. Their smiling, happy expressions are unbelievably infectious and their accompanying phrases, heartwarming. The Blue-haired girl says, “You are my best friend. Will you miss me? I miss you so much my done friends.” Aww, sweet. The Brown-haired girl says, “Always smile. Keep your smile anytime anywhere. Smile every day. Keep happy any time anywhere.” OK, we will. The Pink haired girl says, “Don’t worry be happy” Great song. And the Black haired girl says, “Love blue sky. I love the clear blue sky. I love winter always.” We couldn’t agree more. See what we mean? They’re just so darn happy.

White Cat Notebooks

These gorgeously decorated notebooks get an undisputed 10 on the Awww-o-meter. Each one features a sweet little girl and her bandana-wearing white cat. We’re not sure whether she is as small as the cat, or the cat is as big as her. Either way, they are both precious and we adore them. These notebooks are approximately 10cm x 13cm and are generously filled with over sixty lined pages, each one decorated with tiny flowers and butterflies. Although we removed them to take the pictures, the notebooks come with a clear sleeve on the front and back covers. Which just adds a little protection. Along with the two friends are the words “Sometimes is Happiness.” And then, in microscopically small print it says, “Me and my cat in the balcony of our house I thought to see you do not follow the wind, unfortunately. I do not understand. Should I do. So had and cats daze.” It starts off sweet then gets a bit lost in translation, but we don’t mind, they’re so cute.
